We asked ourselves what we could do to make our Festival more sustainable.
We thought about the environmental impact generated by the CO2 emitted during the travel of the organization and the guests who come to present their books at our place.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the travel of guests joining us from the rest of Italy or Europe, all we can do is to propose air travel, which is certainly not environmentally friendly.
Doing a quick calculation, we realized that, in our own small way, we have to step in and do something to restore oxygen to the Earth. 🌱
What can reabsorb the CO2 emitted? And what could make a tree turned into the pages of a book more valuable? More trees!
That is why we have started the “Literary Forest” initiative:
For every book purchased by the public during presentations, we pledge to plant a new tree.
By doing so, we will place greater value on your purchase and the valuable work of authors and authors. 🌍💚
Let’s Create a Widespread Forest Together!
The municipalities of Cagliari, Assemini, Arborea, Quartu Sant’Elena and Sassari, our partners, will identify an area where trees will be planted. Each area will be renamed “Literary Forest,” becoming an active part of a unique project in Italy.
A Shared, Inclusive and Green Forest!
We want to create a widespread forest, shared among several municipalities, usable by many people and contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment. Join us on this journey toward a greener future!
Together, we can make a difference! Share this initiative and help us grow our Literary Forest! 🌱❤
