Who we are

‘With over 30 literary events per year focusing on LGBTQIA+ themes, we have created a cultural event that is unique in Italy.’

Rainbook’s journey began in 2022 and has touched many areas of the island, including Quartu Sant’Elena, San Vero Milis, Lodè, Macomer, Assemini, Olbia and Oristano, as well as numerous schools. With more than 30 literary events a year focused on LGBTQIA+ issues, we have created a unique cultural event in Italy.

“Rainbook is organised by the Baa Bà Cultural Association, which is committed to breaking down gender stereotypes and all discrimination based on gender orientation or identity”

Baa Bà, along with the Rainbook Festival, carries out other projects aimed at achieving its goals.

These include various events to raise awareness and animate the Sardinian LGBTQIA+ Community, moments of training and promotion for all those companies that want to carry out Diverstity&Inclusion actions.

In addition, the Rainbook Festival has been awarded the European Festivals Association’s ‘EFFE’ label. This recognition, awarded by international experts in the field, certifies that the festival meets at least seven of the ten required quality standards.
