Lazarus and Magdalene are two strangers. They live in different cities, they are two different ages. Yet, they are united by the same condition: the inability to find a place in the world. The former experiences the difficult journey of accepting his homosexuality; the latter is struggling with an unwanted pregnancy and is abandoned by everyone: not only by Pietro, the child’s father, but also by her closest loved ones. It is precisely these two frailties that inextricably unite their lives around a common secret: little Teo. The child’s birth, in fact, constitutes the key that pushes them to rethink their lives, poised between rejection and acceptance.
