Who is the hominus herectus? He is a man who is not particularly ugly, short below average, decidedly hairy, and somewhat overweight, physical qualities that, in contrast to common aesthetics, corral the object of these attentions into the gross enclosure that is the essence of mediocrity. Despite, or perhaps because of, this terribly exhibited mediocrity, Mattia loses himself in the merry-go-round of a love that empties and tortures him. A curved love that lights up the world, objects and agents, with a life of its own. (Source IBS.co.uk)
