First Edition of Rainbook Literary Contest "Laura Grasso," Historian LGBTQIA+ Activist

We are pleased to announce the first edition of the “Rainbook” literary contest, a tribute to the memory and legacy of Laura Grasso, an extraordinary figure and historic activist in the LGBTQIA+ community. The contest aims to celebrate diversity through writing, providing a platform to stimulate creativity and promote awareness.

The competition has two distinctive sections:

1. Unpublished Works:

  • Original and unpublished works are allowed.
  • The deadline for participation is May 26, 2024.
  • The winner will receive the unique opportunity to see their work published by the renowned Janus publishing house.
  • The official presentation of the winning book will take place in the 2025 edition of the Rainbook Festival.

2. Published Works (published in 2023 or 2024):

  • Works that were published during 2023 or 2024 are accepted.
  • The deadline for participation is May 26, 2024.
  • The winner of this section will receive a cash prize of €500.

The goal of the contest is to support and enhance the diversity of voices in contemporary literature by encouraging emerging and established authors to express their talents in unique and authentic ways.
