Quando dentro Piove

Of

Martina

LGBTQ

Pages: 125

Martina has always believed in love – so much so that she asked Erika to marry her. Together, they had faced homophobia, hatred and loneliness, turning their story into a message of courage through social media. They had become a beacon of hope, proof that love can withstand anything.
But the biggest storm hit when they least expected it. *Quando dentro piove* recounts Martina’s journey through the pain of loss, just when she was imagining a future full of joy and promise. Amidst fear, depression and healing, her voice becomes a comforting embrace for those who are grieving and don’t know where to start again. An invitation to acknowledge one’s pain, face it and, ultimately, find oneself again.

About the author...

Martina Tammaro (Arona, 1995) is a writer and activist, known for her campaign against homophobia, lesbophobia and transphobia on social media through the project *Le perle degli omofobi*. Together with her former partner Erika Mattina, she has turned the insults she received online into an opportunity to raise awareness, recounting their experience in the book of the same name and in the best-selling novel *Quando fuori piove* (Rizzoli, 2022). A keen explorer of emotions and vulnerabilities, in 2026 she published *Quando dentro piove* (Golem Edizioni), in which she tackles the pain of separation, depression and personal rebirth with courage and honesty. Her voice and her writing provide a space for many people in the LGBTQIA+ community to identify with, combining social activism with an intimate account of relationships.
